Nas’ new album deal

We covered the possibility right after the Jay-Z "I Declare War" concert. We are now guaranteed to get at least four new albums from Nas since he's recently signed a new contract which involves a joint venture between Def Jam and Sony Records (owners of Columbia). Under the new deal Nas will get A&R, promotion, marketing and distribution help from Def Jam on his first two albums. He's reportedly getting $3 million including advances, but also agreed to allow Sony to hold on to his masters, and reap the benefits of any future greatest-hits albums (which sux). But congrats, hopefully ...
